Kalamazoo Sacred Harp

Join us in the tradition of Sacred Harp singing—a vibrant, participatory practice of American folk hymns sung in four-part harmony. All are welcome.

We hold regular workshops, local singings, and an annual all-day singing.

Bimonthly Workshop and Singing

When: Every second and fourth Monday, from 7pm to 9pm

Where: Kalamazoo Friends Meetinghouse, 508 Denner Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan

We sing from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Denson edition. Loaner books are always available. No experience is necessary, and beginners are warmly welcomed!

Monthly Local Singing

When: Every Third Sunday, 4pm to 6pm, with potluck following

Annual Kalamazoo All-Day Singing

Date: Third Sunday in July at 9:30 am. In 2026, July 19, 2026.

Location:Carriage Barn, part of the Drake Farm Homestead at 927 North Drake Road, Kalamazoo.

A full day of singing followed by a potluck dinner on the grounds. A cherished tradition bringing together singers from across the region. The Saturday before is the Goshen All-Day Singing; join us for both days!
